This report provides a comprehensive “at-a-glance” view of Briarport, bringing together the most important KPIs across all livability metrics and placing them in context through peer city comparisons. The goal of the report is not just to show where Briarport stands today, but to make it easy to understand how performance has evolved over time and how it compares with similar cities.
A highlight of the report is the scenario analysis section. This interactive feature allows users to simulate changes in metric values and instantly see how Briarport’s ranking shifts, helping translate data into potential outcomes. To make the insights more actionable, the report also includes a set of targeted policy recommendations that outline practical steps the city could take to improve performance across different metrics.
The peer comparison section is designed to support multiple ways of analysis and exploration. It includes a rank bump chart to visualize how Briarport’s position has changed relative to peers over time, a detailed table for deeper and more precise comparisons, and a metric overview bar chart for quick, high-level benchmarking. Together, these views help balance storytelling with analytical depth.
I’ll admit there was a moment midway through the build when time pressure made me seriously consider stopping. However, after pushing through and pulling an all-nighter, I was able to complete and submit the report. Regardless of the final outcome, the process itself was a valuable exercise in problem-solving, storytelling, and design under constraints and a reminder that persistence is sometimes the most important KPI of all.

Hey. This is a line chart. Find the rankings using rankx and then plot using the line chart visual. This rank chart is also called a bump chart
Every report of yours is truly unique, Lakshmi. The depth of storytelling in your reports is remarkable. I honestly don’t know how you manage your schedule to create such amazing work, really impressive!
