Hi Everyone!
For this week's theme, I decided to explore the world of fantastic little creatures called bees. Love them or hate them, they are important for our nature!
All report elements focus on one important goal: quality over quantity. The report consists of short text sections paired with simple visuals for each topic. It relies on Power BI’s built-in visuals, combined with minimal imagery for clarity. A scroll-down layout was chosen to convey a story, with each section linking to the next.
The result is a report you can read in two minutes while grasping the main points. But if you want to dive deeper, you’ll find a surprising amount of information to explore. Maybe you can find even a little "easter egg." So take your time and get to know the bees!
Here are a few design choices I made:
- Earthy colors, for this weeks theme.
- Added an inverted bar chart to resemble honey dripping
- Colored text to match the text with visuals (background by the way isinspired by wooden hive racks used for collecting honey)
- Custom labels instead of traditional titles for a cleaner look
- And couple extra photos for those who are yearly and don't get to experience the app yet:
